Tony Liotta belongs to the world´s most famous drummers in the music business.
He has a distinctive style and so he has inspired several generation of drummers.
In the studios he is well known as the "First Take Drummer".
His last album "Colours of Life" was called a “Contemporary document of drummer arts” by the journal “Sticks”.
Other critics compare him with Miles Davis and Santana (the magazine “Marebo”) or as the German answer to Billy Cobham.
He learned from the drummers´ pope Buddy Rich and he has already been working in this business for more than 30 years.
As a teenager he crossed the big ocean and at that time he had already played with the best, for example Hot Chocolat, Earth Wind and Fire or the Young Generation etc.
As one of the best drummers in the world he just use professional equipment. So he cooperates with 14 prestigious music companies.
Tony has been playing with lots of great musicians. Here are just some names of a long list: Rocky Roberts, Berhard Purdie, Kenny Arranoff, Zoro, Steve Smith, John C. Marshall, Chaka Khan, Gianna Nannini.
Next to own albums, lot of projects, festival-gigs and few TV performances, Liotta also produces for Warner Brothers in Italy.
But that´s not enough! Tony offers workshops for percussion and drums and moreover he has the "Tony Liotta Drumschool" in Dortmund and Bochum (Germany) and for a short time also in Milan.
