In 1992, two 12-year-olds from D\u00fcsseldorf decided to form a band, their music and looks majorly influenced by idols such as the Sex Pistols, The Clash and Germany\u2019s most successful rock band Die Toten Hosen. Two years later, the band Broilers arose from this original line-up, combining punk rock with sounds from the traditional \u2013 of course antiracist \u2013 Skinhead and Rude Boy Scene. It is especially the latter movement which united black and white youth cultures in the 60s in Great Britain that has left its mark on the band\u2019s style.<\/p>\n

Over the years, the band has released four albums and performed a countless amount of gigs in front of a continuously growing fan base, always true to their strong DIY-mentality. The powerful, catchy compositions of the band along with the unusual lyrics of front man\/guitarist Sammy Amara have played an important part in Broilers growing success. With their studio record \u201cVanitas\u201d (2007) and their first DVD \u201cThe Anti Archives\u201d, the band has managed to take the important step from insider to cult act.<\/p>\n
Their extensive tours have achieved an excellent reputation due to their intensive and mind-blowing gigs. In fall 2010, Broilers played a sold-out headliner tour in front of 15,000 people. In addition, the band has played all major festivals in the German-speaking sector such as Rock am Ring and the Highfield-Festival.<\/p>\n
“Santa Muerte” was released in June 2011. It tells stories of the band\u00b4s life, including experiences as well as up and downs. The band wants the fans to have a good time, to give them power and something to think about. After a great tour with this album the \u201cSanta Muerte Live Tapes\u201d has been released in 2012.<\/p>\n
In 2013 the band rocked at many festivals and announced for 2014: “Next year will be thick for all of us. 20 years of Broilers, a new record, a new tour…” And so it came to pass: “Noir” entered the charts at No. 1, the shows were successful as were the two sold-out anniversary concerts in December.
\nIn March 2017, the new album was released (sic!)! The new record celebrated great success, as well as the accompanying tour. The result: ECHO 2017 in the category Rock National. (sic!) was awarded gold in August.<\/p>\n
Fans had to wait four years for the new album. But when the new album “Puro Amor” was released in 2021, it was clear to everyone: it was worth the wait. The 14 songs on the album are about love and letting go. It is about partnership, family, a deep friendship that unites all that has gone before – like the friendship that brought the band together 27 years ago and still holds it together today.
\nIn the meantime, the music of the Broilers is released on their own label “Skull & Palms Recordings”, the last three albums reached gold status, the two most recently released longplayers both managed to jump to #1 in the German charts – and Puro Amor also went straight to #1 and stayed in the charts for a total of 11 weeks. Congratulations!<\/p>\n
In the summer of 2022, the band went on a major open-air tour \u201cAlles wird wieder OK!\u201d, which they celebrated with around 150,000 fans.
\nIn the fall of the year, the live album \u201cPuro Amor Live Tapes\u201d was released. In the summer of 2023, the Broilers promised \u201cNo one will be left behind\u201d on their open-air tour.
\nIn 2024, the Broilers turned 30, an incredible band anniversary that was celebrated with a big anniversary tour.
\nThe biggest stadium concert in Broilers’ history is scheduled for summer 2026: BROILERS ULTRABOWL 2026 . The spectacle in the Merkur Spiel-Arena in D\u00fcsseldorf, Germany is already sold out. An open-air tour is planned afterwards.<\/p>\n
