Alexander “Alex” Wesselsky (vocals) and Jochen “Noel Pix” Seibert (guitar, keys, programmings) founded the band Eisbrecher in 2003.
\nTheir German rock music combines dark sounds with hard riffs and tempting electronic melodies. But Alex and Noel Pix have no definite music style. The musicians delight their fans with different genres – from gothic to rock and metal.<\/p>\n
With the album “Sturmfahrt” in 2017, Eisbrecher picked up speed again and the next gold was in sight. They had actually secured the top of the charts after just a few days. So the one and a half years of work on the 14 songs had been well worth it.\u00a0 Alex & Noel Pix worked on the 14 new songs for about 1,5 years. They explained: Our music has to surprise ourselves! We can’t expect our fans to go crazy if we aren’t completely convinced.<\/span><\/p>\n Within their 2018 tour, Eisbrecher also celebrated their 15th anniversary with an anniversary concert in September. In October 2020, the (Corona) cover album “Schicksalsmelodien” was released and immediately placed fourth in the album charts. And while the last note of the album had not even completely faded away, the new ‘regular’, meanwhile eighth studio album “Liebe Macht Monster” already followed in March 2021. With more than a dozen new Eisbrecher anthems, the record offers many fascinating, multi-faceted and powerfully produced songs. Singer Alex Wesselsky describes it as an “eternal Eisbrecher bloodbath between rock\/ metal and electro-industrial pop”. And this #1 album once again confirms the band’s shining reputation as an innovative and forward-looking formation.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n At the beginning of 2024, Noel Pix left the band after 20 years, succeeded by Marc \u201cMicki\u201d Richter. New line-up, full speed ahead. \u201cKaltfront\u201d, the band’s tenth studio album, was released in spring 2025. This “cold front” did not bring an ice age – on the contrary: number 2 shows how excited the fans were about the album.
