Blackout Problems was founded in 2012. In the past 10 years, the three musicians from Munich have released two EPs, three albums and a mixtape. They have been on various tours and celebrated radio and festival successes. The illusion of a glamorous rock star life between sex, drugs and sold-out stadiums – remains an illusion. The band fights through and tirelessly follows their passion.<\/p>\n
The album Holy consists of 12 songs, which are located between American rock and contemporary post-everything. With this, the Blackout Problems want to create the balancing act between the impetuous youthfulness of Enter Shikari and the cocky highway soundtrack of a Bruce Springsteen. Their simple but serious lyrics illuminate themes like friendship, courage, justice, questions of responsibility and morality.<\/p>\n
The musicians keep their feet on the ground. Their motto is: “Do It Yourself”. And for expample, they have a (fair trade) merchandise sale “Munich Warehouse”. Singer\/ guitarist Mario confessed: Of course we care about the future but a save job would just delays our fears which are simply human.
\nBassist Marcus said: No one is better than another. Everybody should be treated equally. And there is also no difference between musicians and audience. The stage is for everyone.
\nAnd drummer Michael also agreed.<\/p>\n
The album “Kaos” was released in June 2018. The songwriting process wasn\u00b4t easy all the time. But the intense time of working was worthwhile in the end. The album is a great mix of pop music, electrorock, hip-hop and characteristic Blackout Problems beats.<\/p>\n
The current album \u201cDark\u201d was released in 2021 and entered the album charts at number 12, where it successfully remained for several weeks. An even bigger success came with the latest album, released in February 2024. The fourth studio album RIOT, immediately entered the German charts at number 5 – a true milestone for Blackout Problems. In summer, the deluxe version of RIOT was released with four additional songs. From October to December, the band embarked on a major \u201cRIOT\u201d headlining tour through Europe.
