After hurricane winds of 180 km\/hr severely damaged both König & Meyer factories (in Kiesweg as well in the Otto-Schott-Straße) on June 25, 2008, repair work is currently under way. At the Otto-Schott building, several gates were dented, including a four meter rolling gate, which was severely bent out of shape. Large pieces of the roof from Factory I in Kiesweg were completely displaced. The total damage is estimated at €200,000. In addition, several of our employees’ cars were damaged, with the storm shattering windshields and side windows.<\/p>\n
