König & Meyer redesigns its website Our newly redesigned website Our new website 200 employees of König & Meyer on tour

On the occasion of the 70th anniversary of König & Meyer, the company had invited their employees to a 2-day company outing to Bonn, the former capital of Germany. On Friday morning 24^th of May, 200 employees made their way from Wertheim at first to the Rhine River by bus. After about 250 km on the road and an extensive breakfast break, an excursion boat in Linz on the Rhine was boarded in the early afternoon. After 1 ½ hours of a marvelous boat trip in wonderful sunshine the group reached Bonn and continued the journey with a city tour. Well-known and remarkable buildings such as the former Chancellor’s Office, the Villa Hammerschmidt, the Popplesdorfer Castle, the Post Tower, the House of History or the Cathedral were visited. After checking in to the hotel, the festive evening started.

 

Good colleagues become friends

Old and new colleagues, often known only by phone or email, got a face that evening and got to know each other better. After a warm welcome speech from CEO Gabriela Koenig and an excellent dinner, a DJ provided the musical entertainment and started the dance party. Well-known songs from the last 5 decades provided the perfect musical framework for a family, entertaining and, above all, successful anniversary celebration. The next morning, the K&M team had the opportunity to explore Bonn on their own. The journey continued then to Königswinter with a visit to the famous Dragon Castle and the Drachenfels in beautiful summer weather. In the late afternoon, the group set off again for home. The tour ended with a dinner event in a restaurant in the Spessart forest. With many great and exciting impressions, everyone returned to Wertheim.

Overview of all K&M iPad & tablet holders Website gets a facelift with an online shop for dealers

After two years up and running, we´ve given our website a new look.
The site now features the popular tile look. Live pictures of endorsers loosen up the site and give it a touch of emotional appeal. The integration of the corporate blog has been upgraded, and the latest social media postings are now part of the homepage. Test reports and awards are featured to help musicians decide on the right König & Meyer products for them. The mobile site has also been similarly freshened up.

Along with consumers, the move is meant in particular to appeal to and support dealers. Together with the facelift, the new B2B dealer shop was opened with this in mind. For some time now, registered dealers have been able to place the desired products in their shopping cart in the dealer section of the site and transmit them easily and conveniently to the musical instrument accessory producer.

Plus, as a way to promote sales, dealers can now print product tags; brick-and-mortar dealers, for example, can use these to label K&M products in-store. The tags contain product information, a space for pricing, and a QR code that links to the mobile version of the König & Meyer website.

Says CEO Gabriela König: “In recent years, our website has increasingly come to form the center of our marketing activities. That means it is all the more important to develop and improve the site on an ongoing basis so that we can offer dealers, consumers, and members of the media added value and new and current content at all times.”

Committed to a company name

The purchaser of one of our microphone stands and creator of this humorous cartoon hasn’t quite got it right in his assumption about our company name. The choice of name was not exactly haphazard and actually has a history beginning 64 years ago. We are happy to make the most of this opportunity to tell you a little more about the well-known brand from Wertheim.

Karl König and Erich Meyer founded the company in Wertheim in 1949.

Their typical German surnames were fused to form the name of the company. The manufacture of music stands was successful, the number of employees alongside the range of products grew rapidly and a few years down the line the company was already an internationally known brand. Yes, the surnames of the two German founders stood for quality right from the start and second only to our concerns about the environment, quality has always been a top priority for König & Meyer. Sixty years later, that‘s still the case and the traditional family company of König & Meyer is proud to trade under a name which has come to mean “Made in Germany” quality. The two surnames of our founders Karl König and Erich Meyer and our historical background are inspiration for our loyal employees to satisfy our high expectations of quality.
